The kukri or khukuri is a knife, originated from Nepal. The knife has an inwardly curved blade, similar to a machete, used as both a tool and as a weapon. Kukris are known as the Gurkha knifes. These beautiful knives are made from highly grade carbon steel and have polished blade. The knife is 16" long with 11" blade. It has two small knives ( Karda and Chakmak), Karda is small knife used for skinning animals and Chakmak is blunt knife ised for sharpening the Khukuri blade.

This particular knife's name come from the name of grass,'siru'. The Shape of this khukuri blade is very much alike to the leaf of the siru. Hence it is called Sirupate khukuri. It has straight blade and not as wide as other knives. This kind of blade is very useful to light work, nowadays british gurkhas also use similar this kind of light blade for jungle training. The shealth is made up of cotton covered in Buffalo leather. Two small knices( Karda and Chakmak) also come with this khukuri. This blade can be used to chop wood or bone cleaning loushes and other kind of domestic work.
